This is the story of Everard, a man in his sixties who live in Christchurch, a small village in southern England. From the outside, his life appears ordinary. Everard is a perfect English gentleman with polished language and gentle manners. He has a good job in IT, takes an interest in books, films, philosophy, and has a passion for hang-gliding. In this closed and invisible world in which Everard lives alone since the death of his parents and of his brother, the only things that come to life, albeit only seemingly, are his dolls – perfect silicone reproductions of beautiful women. These dolls represent a step further in the conception of normal sex toys; they are creatures to be taken care of and with whom one can share much more than just a sexual relationship.
